Learning Reiki requires no prior experience and is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds.
The word Reiki comes from two Japanese characters: Rei, meaning “universal” or “spiritual wisdom”, and Ki, meaning “life force energy”. Together, Reiki refers to universal life force energy that is present all around us and can be gently channelled for wellbeing and balance.
Founded by Mikao Usui, Reiki is a simple and natural system that can be easily learned for self-care and for supporting family, friends, and clients.
As a Reiki practitioner, you learn practical tools to support yourself through life’s challenges especially during times when optimism feels hard to find. Reiki encourages gentleness, self-compassion, and emotional resilience. It reminds us that even when difficult emotions arise, we still hold joy, strength, and wisdom within.
Reiki can be practised anytime, anywhere offering a calm, supportive presence in everyday life.
For those already working in bodywork, health, or therapeutic fields, Reiki can be a valuable and complementary addition to an existing practice.
All courses are taught in the Usui/Holy Fire® III system, which combines the traditional Usui lineage passed down through Hawayo Takata with the contemporary Holy Fire ® III energy. The word “Holy” in Holy Fire ® is not religious. It means “to make whole” and refers to a gentle, universal healing energy that supports balance, well-being, and personal growth.
Reiki Ryoho translates to the divine art of healing and Usui Shikki Reiki Ryoho is the Usui style of Reiki Ryoho.
Holy Fire ® Reiki is a new form of Reiki which has been introduced by William Lee Rand of the International Centre for Reiki Training (ICRT) USA. It is both powerful and gentle and can assist with self healing, empowerment and guidance. It is included as part of all my Usui Reiki classes.
This energy works alongside traditional Usui Reiki. Many people find that the Holy Fire energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness.
In Holy Fire ® Reiki, the attunements are called Placements.

For self-healing and sharing Reiki with family and friends
Level 1 focuses on self-healing, personal balance, and learning to provide Reiki for yourself and others.
During this class, you will receive your first attunements/initiations like turning the key in a lock and opening the door to Reiki energy. You will begin to notice Reiki flowing through your hands, supporting balance on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
This course also introduces the idea of using Reiki with animals, plants, food, and your environment.

Level 1 is ideal for beginners and those seeking personal growth, stress relief, and emotional balance.
Course fee: $330
Focuses on mental, emotional, and spiritual development
Level 2 builds on Level 1 and develops your ability to work with others, including distance healing. You will learn to elevate spiritual awareness and increase your Reiki energy capabilities.
You will learn three sacred Reiki symbols, their meanings, and practical use. Each symbol is a key that assists us in activating a refined energy transference for healing. Practice using these symbols in real sessions, including sending Reiki across distances.
Completion of this course qualifies you as a Reiki practitioner. You may provide Reiki to yourself, family, friends, or clients if you wish. Many students also choose to join Reiki NZ Inc, following professional ethics and code of conduct.

For deepening mastery of self and Reiki energy
Becoming a Reiki Master Practitioner is a significant step in personal, spiritual, and professional development. Level 3a focuses on self-mastery, confidence, and deepening your connection to Reiki.
This intensive three-day training is taught in the Usui/Holy Fire ® III system, combining the traditional Usui lineage passed down through Hawayo Takata with contemporary Holy Fire ® III energy.
