Reiki is a practice that can be learned by people of all ages and backgrounds. It offers a way to develop self-awareness, practise self-Reiki and share Reiki with others.
You don’t need previous experience. Whether you are beginning your Reiki journey or continuing your training, the courses provide practical experience, guidance and opportunities for ongoing learning.
All courses are taught in the Usui/Holy Fire® III system, bringing together traditional Usui Reiki and Holy Fire® Reiki.
Usui Reiki was developed in Japan by Mikao Usui. Holy Fire® Reiki, introduced by William Lee Rand of the International Centre for Reiki Training, is incorporated into the training I offer.
The word Holy in Holy Fire® is not religious. It refers to the idea of making whole and is not associated with any particular religious belief.
In Holy Fire® Reiki, the teacher guides students through experiences called placements. These are guided experiences that form part of the training and differ from traditional hands-on attunements.
A foundation for self-Reiki and sharing Reiki with family and friends
Level 1 introduces the foundations of Reiki practice, including self-Reiki, hand positions and sharing Reiki with others.
The course provides opportunities to practise Reiki and develop your understanding of the Reiki principles as part of everyday life.
You will learn to:
Practise Reiki on yourself.
Share Reiki with family and friends.
Explore ways of incorporating Reiki into everyday life.
Develop a foundation for your continuing Reiki journey.
The course includes guided training, a comprehensive manual and opportunities for ongoing support through Reiki Share Groups.
Deepen your practice and commitment to Reiki
Level 2 builds on your Level 1 training and invites you to deepen your commitment to Reiki practice.
You will learn three sacred Reiki symbols, their meanings and how to use them in practice, including distance Reiki.
The course includes practical exercises to help you develop confidence in applying what you learn, together with a comprehensive manual and ongoing support through Reiki Share Groups.
A comprehensive three-day course for deeper practice and self-development
Master Practitioner training offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of Reiki and continue your personal and spiritual development.
This comprehensive three-day course includes the Usui and Holy Fire® Master symbols, guided Holy Fire® experiences, meditations and advanced Reiki practices.
The training is intended for practitioners who are ready to make a further commitment to their Reiki journey. Please contact me to discuss entry requirements and suitable timing following Level 2.
Learning Reiki is not just about completing a course. Continued practice, reflection and connection with others can help you develop confidence and deepen your understanding over time.
Reiki Share Groups provide an opportunity to practise, receive Reiki and connect with other practitioners in a welcoming environment.
I have been practising Reiki professionally since 2007 and teaching since 2013. As founder of The Waikato Reiki Centre, I aim to provide friendly, supportive training that respects Reiki’s foundations while encouraging students to develop their own practice.
My teaching emphasises self-Reiki, the Reiki principles, practical experience, professional ethics and continued learning.

Reiki Ryoho translates to the divine art of healing and Usui Shikki Reiki Ryoho is the Usui style of Reiki Ryoho.
Holy Fire ® Reiki is a new form of Reiki which has been introduced by William Lee Rand of the International Centre for Reiki Training (ICRT) USA. It is both powerful and gentle and can assist with self healing, empowerment and guidance. It is included as part of all my Usui Reiki classes.
This energy works alongside traditional Usui Reiki. Many people find that the Holy Fire energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness.
In Holy Fire ® Reiki, the attunements are called Placements.
The word “Holy” in Holy Fire ® is not religious. It means “to make whole” and refers to a gentle, universal healing energy that supports balance, well-being, and personal growth.

For self-healing and sharing Reiki with family and friends
Level 1 focuses on self-healing, personal balance, and learning to provide Reiki for yourself and others.
During this class, you will receive your first attunements/initiations like turning the key in a lock and opening the door to Reiki energy. You will begin to notice Reiki flowing through your hands, supporting balance on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
This course also introduces the idea of using Reiki with animals, plants, food, and your environment.

Level 1 is ideal for beginners and those seeking personal growth, stress relief, and emotional balance.
Course fee: $330
Focuses on mental, emotional, and spiritual development
Level 2 builds on Level 1 and develops your ability to work with others, including distance healing. You will learn to elevate spiritual awareness and increase your Reiki energy capabilities.
You will learn three sacred Reiki symbols, their meanings, and practical use. Each symbol is a key that assists us in activating a refined energy transference for healing. Practice using these symbols in real sessions, including sending Reiki across distances.
Completion of this course qualifies you as a Reiki practitioner. You may provide Reiki to yourself, family, friends, or clients if you wish. Many students also choose to join Reiki NZ Inc, following professional ethics and code of conduct.

For deepening mastery of self and Reiki energy
Becoming a Reiki Master Practitioner is a significant step in personal, spiritual, and professional development. Level 3a focuses on self-mastery, confidence, and deepening your connection to Reiki.
This intensive three-day training is taught in the Usui/Holy Fire ® III system, combining the traditional Usui lineage passed down through Hawayo Takata with contemporary Holy Fire ® III energy.
