DISCOVER HOW TO ENJOY AN EASIER AND MORE COMFORTABLE BIRTH EXPERIENCE
For the Mother-to-be and her Birthing Companion
HypnoBirthing® is a relaxing, rewarding, stress free method of birthing that is based on the belief that all babies should come into the world in an atmosphere of gentleness, calm and joy.
HypnoBirthing® allows you to experience birth in an atmosphere of calm relaxation, free of the fear and tension that prevents the birthing muscles of your body from functioning as nature intended them to.
Relaxed body – relaxed muscles. Baby moves down easily.
Whether you are a first time Mum or already have children, the tools and techniques of HypnoBirthing®, including breathing, relaxation and visualization, will help you create the joyful, natural birth experience that you desire.
HypnoBirthing doesn't mean you'll be in a trance or sleep. Rather, you'll be able to chat, and be in good spirits. Totally relaxed, but fully in control. You'll always be aware of what is happening to you and around you.

HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Classes are presented in a series of five, 2 - 2½-hour classes or occasionaly over three alternative Saturdays,or Sundays 10 - 1pm, or as per arrangement. . Please refer to the schedule of planned classes. If you would like a workshop in your area, please contact Caterina.
HypnoBirthing® is based on the teachings of the English Physician, Dr Grantly-Dick-Read (1890 – 1959), a pioneer in the field of natural childbirth. His book Childbirth Without Fear returned women to their rightful gift of truly natural childbirth. HypnoBirthing® was established in the United States by Marie Mongan. Her first book, HypnoBirthing® - A Celebration of Life, was written in 1989; and is followed by her latest book, HypnoBirthing® - The Mongan Method. HypnoBirthing® teaches parents how to experience a calm, relaxed, natural birth. The method teaches you that, in the absence of fear and tension, or special medical circumstances, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of labour.
The HypnoBirthing® Advantage
- Eliminates the Fear-Tension-Pain syndrome before, during and after birth
- Eliminates or greatly reduces the need for chemical pain killers
- Shortens the first stage of labour by several hours
- Eliminates fatigue during labour leaving mother fresh, awake and with energy for actual birthing
- Promotes special bonding of mother, baby and birthing companion
- Fosters more rapid post natal recovery
- Creates a more integral role for the birthing companion
- Return birthing to the beautiful, peaceful experience nature intended it to be

Classes are generally run over five consecutive weeks. They are small, (between 2-4 couples), relaxed and informal. Alternatively, weekend workshops will be offered. These classes are held over 3 alternative Saturday or Sundays.
It is essential that the birthing companion attends all classes also. The reason we ask couples to attend together is so the birth companion can understand the tools and techniques you are learning. Your birth companion will play a vital role in your labour and birth and we also teach him/her techniques of how to assist you during this time. It is not compulsory for the birth companion to participate in all of the relaxation exercises if he/she does not desire it. However, it is recommended, as the skills you will learn can be applied to many different areas of your life.
Private sessions can also be arranged. Participants will need to prepare by reading the provided materials, listening to the CD and practising the exercises. The more practice you do, the more it will pay off for you on your baby’s birthing day. Please book early to avoid disappointment as many classes do fill up fast. After you complete your class sessions, I will provide ongoing assistance via email or phone, if you have any further questions, queries or concerns.
The best time to begin your classes is between 18-30 weeks pregnant; however, it is never too early or late to start. If you are beyond 30 weeks, you will still find the course very valuable, as long as you complete it prior to going into labour.
